These terms & conditions apply to all services provided by Bel It Corporation NV’s Hyllit hotel Antwerp, established at De Keyserlei 28-30 in 2018 Antwerp (hereinafter referred to as “HYLLIT”) to event organizers, guests and other contract partners (hereinafter referred to as “guest” and/or “customer”). The guest/customer is liable for third parties that they accompany and in case of an event, its participants.
Booking terms and conditions
Reservations and agreements
Reservations will only be accepted and confirmed if they are made by email, fax or via the booking tool (via Cubilis) on the HYLLIT website. Telephone reservations will only be accepted in the case of a regular guest. Other verbal reservations will only be accepted if they are made directly at the hotel reception or with the hotel manager.
For an online reservation via the booking tool, the guest selects the desired dates of stay, room type and applicable rate. The guest then provides the requested personal details and, where applicable, payment details. Before final confirmation of the reservation, the guest is shown the applicable price, payment conditions and booking conditions. Once the booking process has been completed, the guest receives a reservation confirmation. Payment conditions may vary depending on the selected rate and are communicated during the booking process.
Requests to amend confirmed reservations are always subject to availability and possible rate changes.
For reservations involving larger groups of 10 rooms or more, or in the case of events, regardless of whether the reservations are made individually or collectively, specific conditions may apply. These special conditions supplement the general terms and conditions as published on the HYLLIT website and shall prevail over them.
Check-in, check-out and stay at HYLLIT
Check-in is possible from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If the room is available earlier, HYLLIT may allow the guest to check in earlier, but the hotel is under no obligation to do so. In the event of a late arrival after 6:00 p.m., the guest must inform HYLLIT in advance. If the hotel has not been informed, the room will be released at 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival.
Guests must check out no later than 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. A later departure may be possible, subject to availability. If the room is not vacated before 11:00 a.m., HYLLIT is entitled to charge an additional fee for use of the room until 6:00 p.m. After 6:00 p.m., the full room rate will be charged according to the applicable daily rate.
Rooms are rented exclusively for accommodation purposes. The guest is liable for all damage caused by negligence, by the guest personally, or by third parties accompanying the guest at HYLLIT. HYLLIT is a non-smoking hotel. If the guest or a third party smokes inside the building or in the room/suite, a smoking fee of €500.00 will be charged.
It is not permitted for three persons to stay in one room without HYLLIT’s prior approval (except in family rooms). In certain room types and depending on the availability of extra beds, HYLLIT may allow a third person to stay in the room. An additional fee of €25.00 per night will be charged. Children under the age of 3 may stay in the room free of charge when accompanied by their parent(s)/legal guardian(s). Baby cots are available upon request.
Early departure
If the guest decides to terminate the stay or an event before the agreed departure date, HYLLIT will not charge for the remaining planned days of the stay. This may not apply to group reservations.
Cancellations and no-shows
Confirmed reservations may be cancelled free of charge until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, unless otherwise stated in the specific booking conditions. If the reservation is cancelled after 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, as stated in the reservation confirmation, HYLLIT will charge the agreed rate for the first night, including breakfast where applicable.
In the event of a no-show, HYLLIT reserves the right to charge 100% of the total amount of the confirmed reservation. This includes the full room rate, including breakfast if breakfast is included in the booking.
If an advance purchase rate applies, the total price of the reservation, including breakfast where applicable, will be charged if the reservation is cancelled, modified or in the event of a no-show.
If a last-minute offer is cancelled or modified, or in the event of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
HYLLIT is entitled to cancel reservations if the guest/customer fails to fulfil their obligations, provides incorrect or misleading information, jeopardises HYLLIT’s reputation or safety, fails to comply with these general terms and conditions, or in the event of force majeure or a strike. In such cases, the guest/customer shall not be entitled to claim any form of compensation.
For hotel accommodation reserved for a specific date or period, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to distance contracts does not apply. The possibility of cancelling or modifying a reservation is therefore governed by the cancellation and amendment conditions applicable to the selected rate and communicated during the booking process.
Rates & payments
Prices stated in any communication to the guest/customer are always inclusive of VAT as imposed by Belgian law, unless otherwise stated. If the VAT rate changes at any time, the difference shall be payable if the service, whether a room stay or event, has not yet been provided, unless the change has retroactive effect.
The stated rates apply per room per night unless otherwise indicated and exclude city tax. Since 1 March 2026, the city tax amounts to €3.58 including VAT per person per night. This tax is payable for all persons aged 12 years and over staying in Antwerp. The city tax is charged in addition to the room rate.
If the guest/customer chooses a room rate including breakfast, no price reduction will be granted if the guest/customer decides not to take breakfast at any time during the stay.
HYLLIT reserves the right, depending on the contractual arrangements, to request an advance payment of up to 100% of the total amount due prior to arrival. In the case of an advance purchase rate or a last-minute offer, the full amount of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.
The available payment methods and the amount payable at the time of booking are displayed during the online booking process before the guest finally confirms the reservation. Payments for online reservations may be processed by a payment service provider appointed by HYLLIT.
Upon arrival, HYLLIT requests a deposit of €50.00 for use of the minibar and for any damage that may occur during the stay. This amount will be refunded upon check-out, provided that there is no damage and no outstanding balance.
Invoices are issued upon check-out. Amounts due must be paid immediately upon receipt of the invoice, either in cash or by credit card. HYLLIT reserves the right to refuse foreign currency or cheques. Cheques or vouchers issued by tour operators or travel agents will only be accepted if an agreement exists with the relevant tour operator or travel agent. In certain cases, as stated in individual contracts, invoices are sent after departure and must be paid in accordance with the terms specified in the contract.
If an invoice is not paid on time, HYLLIT reserves the right to charge late-payment interest as well as an administrative fee of €10.00 for each reminder sent.
Merchant of Record and liability
For direct reservations made with HYLLIT, Bel It Corporation NV is the contracting party and Merchant of Record. Bel It Corporation NV is responsible towards the guest/customer for the provision of hotel accommodation and other hotel services purchased directly from HYLLIT. Any payment service provider used to process payment acts solely as a payment service provider and is not the provider of the hotel accommodation or hotel services booked with HYLLIT.
Applicable law
These general terms and conditions and the agreements entered into with Bel It Corporation NV / HYLLIT are governed by Belgian law. Disputes shall be handled by the competent courts in accordance with applicable Belgian and European law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights.
HYLLIT reserves the right to adjust/modify and improve her general terms and conditions at any time and without notice. Please check it regularly.
